Creating a better future for Kington’s Young People…

Huge thanks to the 40 or so people who stopped and engaged with our interactive installation event at the Marches Makers Festival today, May 1st, here in Kington’s Place de Marines. Our installation focused on Open Arms’s Kington’s engagement with Young People. We shared our ideas to develop a dedicated social space for the Under 25s with a youth worker, and we gave information about the findings from Rural Media’s Consultations with Kington’s Youth (see link to the report and short film on our Young People page). Then we invited visitors to share their responses to this question: What Can You Do To Create A Better Future for Kington’s Young People? As the sofa-portraits we took show, so many different and good ideas emerged - next step, we’ll be taking them all back to our Youth Advisors Group for their feedback!
