  • Community Engagement Worker

    We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Community Engagement Worker to join our team. This key role would work with us to help realise the project’s potential as a resource and catalyst for positive social and economic change. The successful applicant will be responsible for taking forward and developing our community level activities as well as monitoring and reporting on them. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong leadership abilities and a proven track record of facilitating effective community engagement with and across diverse groups at grassroots level.

    Job Summary

    ● Shaping initiatives that progress our social impact goals; building on and growing existing goodwill, broadening community engagement.

    ● Collaborating and networking with other relevant initiatives both in Kington and further afield

    ● Building on the success of the past 10 months in terms of community engagement and the catalytic potential of this social enterprise.

    ● Developing the use of the Oxford’s barn and outside space as a temporary community hub meeting the identified needs and bringing about new social opportunities e.g. for groups and individuals under-represented or under-served in the town.

    Hours: 18 hrs per week

    (to be worked flexibly including some evening and weekends as required)

    Pay: £15/ hour
